Next-generation EHR for LTC market launches

In a rebranding move, BlueStep/BridgeGate Health have merged into a singe entitity, and has changed its name to VorroHealth, while launching a combined elecronic heath record (EHR) platform for the long-term and post-acute care market.

Using technology from BridgeGate, the VorroHealth interoperability feature allows an existing electronic health record to connect to disparate systems and also allows paper-based facilities to connect to any public or private health information exchange (HIE).

Technology provided by BlueStep for the VorroHealth clinical technology platform now provides client-based configurations, an extendable functionality to meet changing regulations and the ability to integrate best-of-breed applications within the VorroHealth EHR.

"Connectivity is an EHR vendor investment requirement. In today’s market no EHR can stand alone," said Tom Bang, CEO of VorroHealth in a press release. "Our proven solution helps LTPAC providers address the need for outcomes-based care using open, connected technology so that key information is available at the point of care, across the healthcare continuum, as well as for analytics purposes."
