New technology unveiled for sleep-disordered breathing

For many seniors living with breathing problems, getting a full night's sleep is a dream deferred. But San Diego-based ResMed has announced the release of Air Solutions, a new connected-care solution for the diagnosis and treatment of sleep disordered breathing.

Utilizing separate data-driven components, the Air Solutions' platform provides physicians, sleep labs, and caregivers the ability to diagnose the breathing problem; choose the right therapeutic device; and then monitor and manage the resident's values using proprietary software that can turn around data within an hour after the therapy. The new suite offers testing modules for sleep apnea, redesigned masks and CPAP equipment and a patient engagement application so that those being treated for sleep-disordered breathing can receive personalized coaching and reinforcement messages.
