Encore for EFA’s 2012 Citation of Merit winners

An annual highlight of the Environments for Aging conference, being held this year at Disney’s Contemporary Resort in Orlando, is the presentation of the Citation of Merit awards to superior senior living design projects.

This year, four projects inspired the panel of 16 esteemed jurors—architects, interior designers, care providers and educators—who convened in January to evaluate the nominees for 2012’s top honors.

Yesterday, representatives of the four architecture firms responsible for creating exemplary and inspiring examples of environments for aging accepted their awards before an audience of their congratulatory peers.

The winners represent assisted living, skilled care, fitness center and rehabilitation projects.
