Enclara expands, rebrands
Enclara Health, West Deptford, N.J., changed its name to Enclara Pharmacia at this week’s National Hospice and Palliative Care Organization conference in Nashville, Tenn. The name change and new logo follow last month’s acquisition of excelleRx /Hospice Pharmacia for an undisclosed amount, a deal that combined leadership and buying power from both companies.
The new company will reach more than 84,000 hospice patients nationally per day, through pharmacy benefit manager networks and direct-delivery mail order models.
"Our customers are beginning to understand that there are great opportunities to partner with their pharmacy service provider to optimize drug utilization and cost management,” said Chief Development Officer Betsy Rothley in a press release. “Enclara Pharmacia now has the unprecedented buying power for palliative drug procurement, as well as a technology infrastructure to clearly surpass the competitive landscape."
