CCRC DON salaries rose in 2011
The national average salary of Director of Nurses in Continuing Care Retirement Communities (CCRCs) increased 2.56 percent in 2011, from $80,573 in 2010 to $82,634 in 2011, according to a report by Hospital & Healthcare Compensation Service (HCS) in cooperation with LeadingAge. Nationally, the DON position reported a 5.4 percent of bonus to salary, with an average bonus of $4,436.
496 CCRCs participated in the annual study and provided compensation data on more than 76,900 employees, covering 42 management and 45 non-management positions. The 2011-2012 Continuing Care Retirement Community Salary & Benefits Report also includes 18 fringe benefits, turnover rates by department and projected salary increases for 2011 to 2012.
