The LeadingAge Center for Aging Services Technologies (CAST) has released an updated version of its medication management solutions portfolio
, a free resource to assist long-term care providers, pharmacists and physicians in selecting tools and technology to improve resident medication management.
The updates include additional vendor products, expanded online tools for matching products with needs, and new case studies and educational materials. The portfolio now offers information on 32 products from 29 vendors across 305 different functionalities, twice as many products as were available in the matrix last year.
The portfolio "is a great resource to any organization that is interested in reducing medication errors, adverse drug events, enhancing medication adherence or improving care quality," said Majd Alwan, CAST executive director and the LeadingAge senior vice president for technology.
The new portfolio debuted at the Long-Term and Post-Acute Care Health IT Summit this week in Baltimore.
