Caregivers often develop health problems as a result of their caregiving responsibilities. To help them and those to whom they are giving care, Armonk, New York-based IBM and San Francisco-based GenieMD are partnering to provide answers to health-related questions.
Using IBM's supercomputer, Watson, GenieMD's mobile app will allow caregivers to ask questions and get personalized answers or tips. This is accomplished by Watson being able to analyze data collected from medical records, laboratories and wearable WiFi-enabled devices and then provide answers and recommendations based on an individual's unique profile.
