Tino Popescu (MSN, APRN, A-GNP-C) has been promoted to Chief Clinical Operations Officer, a pivotal role created to provide centralized leadership of Maplewood’s clinical operations. This role underscores the importance of strong, visionary leadership dedicated to advancing safety, care, and quality of life

With more than 11 years at Maplewood and Inspīr (with a brief hiatus), Popescu has been at the heart of the company’s mission, consistently driving clinical excellence through innovation, compassion, and dedication. Based in Monroe, Connecticut, where he lives with his wife and children, Popescu has elevated care practices, strengthened training and professional development across communities, and led transformative initiatives such as the rebuild of Yardi and rollout of SeniorIQ, which enhanced data-driven insights, and the adoption of SafelyYou, which advanced fall detection, prevention, and resident safety. Just as importantly, Popescu has built capable, empowered teams, ensuring they have the resources and support needed to succeed.

As Chief Clinical Operations Officer, Popescu will guide the strategic direction of Maplewood’s clinical systems, ensuring that best-in-class care continues to define the organization across all communities.

Nathan (Nate) Hauenstein is the VP of IT Operations for Vi Senior Living. He has served in the Senior Living industry for nearly 15 years, coupled with 25 years of overall experience in the Information Technology field.

Simply put, his underlying philosophy is that technology returns value…but only when it works reliably and aligns properly with the organization.

Nate holds an MBA degree from Northwestern University and a BA degree from the University of St. Thomas. He is also a certified Project Management Professional (PMP).

Josh brings more than 11 years of experience in clinical care, implementation, and customer success, with a strong focus on fall prevention, rehabilitation, orthopaedics, and staff and family education. After earning his Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) in 2015, he spent eight years working directly in clinical care settings before joining SafelyYou, where he has spent the last three years supporting communities through Clinical Success and Implementation.

Josh’s passion for senior care comes from both his professional and personal experiences. Having worked closely with older adults throughout his clinical career—and seeing his own grandparents navigate the aging process—he is deeply committed to helping seniors live safer, more supported lives. He approaches every customer relationship with empathy, collaboration, and a team-first mindset, striving to ensure every community feels heard, understood, and genuinely supported throughout their journey with SafelyYou.

Outside of work, Josh loves spending time outdoors and in the mountains. Whether he’s running, hiking, or skiing, he’s happiest when sharing those adventures with family and friends.
