Shooting at Ohio retirement community kills 2, wounds 1

UPDATED: Two women are dead and one man is wounded following a shooting at an Ohio retirement home this morning. The scene has been secured and the victims were not residents of the community, police said.

Shots rang out at the Hamlet Village community in Chagrin Falls, Ohio, around 8:30 a.m. The two women, Terrie Treadway, 58, and Catherine Sutter, 58, both housekeepers at the community, died at the scene. The suspected shooter, who name has not yet been released but who is allegedly a dining services employee, was wounded and has been hospitalized, according to police officials quoted by Cleveland.com. 

The retirement community's residents are accounted for and safe, Mayor Bill Tomko told WKYC-TV. Hamlet Village serves 300 residents and offers independent living, assisted living and skilled nursing.
