RTMS adds QM tool to analyze quality data on the fly

Coraopolis, Pa.-based Real Time Medical Systems (RTMS) has launched Live Quality Measures (QMs) to complement its Transights analytics solution for skilled nursing facilities (SNFs).

Building on data from residents’ electronic health records to produce specific clinical and financial insights, the company’s new QM solution uses live clinical documentation to generate daily QMs. This allows administrators to manage quality data and outcomes proactively and to identify which residents triggered the QM or who have been present in the QM over the past week.

“All QMs are worth close examination because they are not just numbers; they reflect the clinical problems experienced by the residents,” Jim Shearon, senior clinical account manager at RTMS, said in a press release. “Some of the problems identified by QMs are avoidable, while others may occur as a natural consequence of increasing illness and frailty.”

Gary Duty, RTMS’ CEO, added: “Enhanced Live Quality Measures reflect what our analytics and professional services can do for [SNFs]. This new functionality will be a powerful resource for clinicians, CNOs and other skilled nursing decision makers.”
