Guardian acquires Anaheim Plaza Pharmacy

Guardian Pharmacy Services, one of the nation’s largest long-term care pharmacy companies, and San Diego, California-based Ron’s Pharmacy, a member of the Guardian family, announce the acquisition of Anaheim Plaza Pharmacy. The newly acquired pharmacy will operate as Guardian Pharmacy of Anaheim and will continue serving existing residents as well as aid in the expansion of Guardian’s long-term care portfolio throughout Southern California.

Founded by Shannon Lew, Pharm D, Anaheim Plaza Pharmacy has provided pharmaceutical services to communities in Southern California for 30 years. During that time, the pharmacy has earned a reputation for exceeding customer expectations.

“As our pharmacy evolved, I knew we needed a partner that shared our focus on proactive customer service but could also help us meet the needs of the rapidly changing senior care industry,” said Shannon Lew. “The teams at Guardian and Ron’s Pharmacy are industry veterans who have demonstrated the attention to personal care that will help drive future success for our communities and their residents.”

Ron Belville added, “This strategic partnership allows us to serve even more residents and communities in Southern California. The expertise of Shannon and his team complement those of our organization and will help us enhance our service offerings.”

As part of the Guardian Pharmacy Services family, Guardian Pharmacy of Anaheim will benefit from the company’s local-autonomy business model. This industry-unique model ensures that the local team can focus on customer service to meet the specialized needs of its communities and residents, while Guardian’s corporate team assists with the time consuming day-to-day business operations including payroll, HR, IT and more.

“We are proud to be associated with Shannon and his team,” said Fred Burke, CEO and co-founder of Guardian Pharmacy Services. “With our shared passion and dedication to providing superior customer service, we can ensure residents in long-term care communities throughout California are well served.”
