WoundRounds launches mobile charting app
WoundRounds, Schaumburg, Illinois, has added mobile functionality to its wound management platform, allowing its wound documentation system to be accessible from anywhere.
The mobile app encrypts the data and communicates with the secure system server, so no protected health information resides on the mobile device, notes WoundRounds CEO of Telemedicine Solutions Mike Diamond.
Having the application right at hand encourages more standardization in nurse charting and thorough documentation of wound care. Caregivers are less apt to skip documentation steps and can add supporting documentation, including images.
“The App is self-intuitive and provides the ability for wound assessment parameters with photos to be entered easily at bedside,” said Lou Buckner RN WCC, Director of Nursing at Uplands Village in Pleasant Hill, Tennessee. “The data seamlessly uploads to the website, and is a great tool for quality assurance process.”
