Hospice workers highlighted by series

Tonight (Dec. 9) is the season finale of Showtime’s “Time of Death,” a six-part documentary series examining how terminally ill people face their own mortality and how they are supported by healthcare and hospice workers, family and friends. The cable show will air at 7 p.m. (consult your local listings).

The hour-long episodes, for mature audiences due to adult language and content, also can be watched on demand or online through Jan. 14. The website includes video previews of installments as well as a resource guide [PDF] for caregivers, those living with illness, those who are grieving and those interested in helping organizations involved with the series as well as those profiled and their families.
