CMS chief to resign in February

Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services Administrator Marilyn B. Tavenner will leave her position in February, report the New York Times and other media sources, citing an internal memo Tavenner sent to employees.

She'll mark five years with the agency, having joined it in February 2010. She succeeded Donald Berwick, who resigned in late 2011. Tavenner was actiing administrator until May 2013. Prior to serving as administrator, she was deputy administrator.
