Aging2.0 Alliance connects providers, technology companies

A new global membership community for senior care stakeholders and technology companies is counting large corporations and advocacy organizations among its inaugural members. The Aging2.0 Alliance has a goal of helping peers and new partners connect and innovate to improve the lives of older adults.

“This is a unique membership community for forward-looking senior care organizations looking to collaborate with each other and with top technology innovators,” Scott Peifer, vice president of alliance development at Aging2.0, said at the National Investment Center Capital and Business Strategies Forum in San Diego, at which the alliance was announced. “A concerted focus on innovation is more important than ever as senior care providers strive to meet the evolving needs, expectations and aspirations of this large and growing population.”

Aging2.0 is part of the Generator Ventures portfolio. Generator Ventures was launched in May 2014 in conjunction with Formation Capital, a $6 billion private equity firm focused on seniors housing and care, post-acute and healthcare real estate investments. Over the past 2 years, Aging2.0 has hosted 85 events in 22 cities across nine countries.

Mark Parkinson, president and CEO of the American Health Care Association and National Center for Assisted Living, said that the being active in the group’s alliance will be a natural extension of his organization’s mission. “Our partnership will enable our members to tap into the pipeline of aging innovation and foster collaboration and knowledge sharing,” he added.
