The Pines is part of Daughters of Sarah Senior Community, a multilevel-of-care campus founded on Jewish values and traditions. The Pines assisted living residence is designed for a population accustomed to the amenities and autonomy of home ownership.

The campus design goal is a true aging-in-place environment and features a focal commons area directly connected by corridors to two, two-story apartment wings, with laundry facilities on each floor.

The Pines incorporates residential scale and building materials to emphasize homey ambience. Reminiscent of an elegant private dwelling, the entrance opens into a warm reception area, formal and private dining areas, living room, wellness and exercise center, and a grand staircase to the second level. For residents’ convenience, the main core also includes a beauty/barber shop and a country store with sit-down cafT.

The apartment wings are designed as neighborhoods around a central living room and provide access to outdoor gardens and patios. Clustering of activity areas and decentralization of service areas create a relaxed, welcoming residential environment.

The airy one- and two-bedroom apartment designs feature 9-foot ceilings and ample natural daylight. The framework creates a foundation for promoting interaction throughout families, which will enhance resident quality of life.
