An online caregiver locator resource and an online training provider are joining efforts to expand training opportunities for senior care. CareLinx, an online resource for finding and hiring caregivers, is joining with CareAcademy, a training and certification provider for in-home caregivers, to provide training for all caregivers listed on CareLinx.
The deal will bring new education on a variety of topics, including fall prevention, elder abuse awareness, dementia care, nutrition and safety. CareLinx will track completion of the online courses and note them on the candidate’s profile, allowing families to see a person’s qualifications at a glance.
Access to CareAcademy’s online professional development will bring caregiving skills and knowledge to the in-home and private-duty level and will add experiential depth to CareLinx’s caregiver list for its clients. “Our mission is to professionalize caregiving so that caregivers can develop more stable and secure careers and families feel more confident that they can find reliable, knowledgeable people to care for their loved ones,” said Helen Adeosun, CEO and co-founder of CareAcademy in a press release.
