Philips and AT&T join forces for remote monitoring service

Royal Philips has chosen AT&T as the wireless carrier for its GoSafe mobile medical alert system.

Designed specifically for seniors, GoSafe uses six location technologies that allow call center employees to locate seniors needing assistance even in areas where GPS is not available.

"When it came to working with a wireless provider for GoSafe, AT&T’s proven quality, reliability and global network reach were key factors as they can give seniors the widest possible range of freedom and connectivity," said Kimberly O’Loughlin, general manager for Philips Home Monitoring in a press statement. "Our mission is to serve the safety, health and connectedness needs of seniors globally and make the aging experience better for seniors, caregivers and clinicians. GoSafe, with its advanced fall detection and location capabilities, is a key step forward as it provides seniors a better experience in staying safe while on the go."
