Person-centered care benchmarking survey under way

A new national benchmarking survey is seeking long-term/post-acute care providers' experiences in the benefits and challenges of implementing person-centered care models.

The 2015 State of the Art of Person-Centered Care Benchmarking Survey, conducted by The Rothschild Foundation in collaboration with Perkins Eastman, IDEAS Institute, and The Beryl Institute, is designed to take the pulse of person-centered care in today’s skilled nursing and senior living communities. The survey asks providers to share information on how person-centered care is being implemented in their own settings, as well as what barriers they face in shifting to person-centered care mindsets and business models.

The 40-question survey seeks input on five categories: Facility demographics, information on the care community in general, specific details on resident living areas, the community’s current person-centered care practices and the community’s barriers toward implementing or facilitating person-centered care.
