PA nursing home acts quickly and locks down facility

A Pennsylvania nursing home went into lockdown Jan. 26, in response to threats made by the significant other of a facility employee. Grandview Health Homes notified law enforcement. No one—visitors, staff or residents—was allowed to leave.

Mahoning Township police were assisted by officers from several communities. The man was apprehended a short time later, and the lockdown was lifted.

“My main concern was for her [employee] and Grandview,” Mahoning Township Police Chief Chad Thomas said in a news article.
