MatrixCare to release clinical analytics for CMS benchmarks

MatrixCare will release a clinical dashboard later in 2015 to help long-term care and senior living providers see how they match up with national benchmarking data.

MatrixCare Analytics Clinical Dashboard uses real-time data to calculate 33 short- and long-stay quality measures to the most current benchmarks publically available from the Center for Medicare and Medicaid Services. The data can be analyzed and compared at facility, state and national levels. The dashboard allows providers to perform root-cause analysis to understand what drives performance. Quality measures can be tracked over time to monitor results of programs designed to improve outcomes.

“As the reimbursement model shifts from fee for service to fee for value, the ability to continuously trend, analyze, improve and market quality and outcomes will be critical for long-term care providers,” said John Damgaard, MatrixCare President and CEO in a prepared statement. “Data warehouses and business intelligence solutions using data that are days, weeks, and even months old do not support the proactive interventions necessary to ensure continuous improvement in outcomes and the quality of care.”
