The cost of implementation has been one of the major stumbling blocks to adopting and using an electronic health record (EHR) system, but a well-known consulting firm says it has found a simple and cost-effective solution.
Deloitte Consulting LLP has launched Evergreen, a software-based approach that the consulting firm says can reduce information technology costs by up to 30 percent.
Deloitte uses its advanced analytics and reporting capabilities while also utilizing its experience in clinical transformation and workflow optimization to manage and maintain EHR applications through a seamless and secure global network.
"Evergreen offers an innovative approach to achieving the expected benefits of clinical and revenue management systems in a post-reform world," Mitch Morris, a principal of Deloitte Consulting, said in a press release. "It can provide clinicians with the software applications they prefer while supporting the clinical and financial results that health systems are looking to achieve."
