Bedside terminal combines clinical, entertainment features

The latest dual-use bedside terminal from ARBOR Solution, with U.S. headquarters in San Jose, Calif., makes it even easier for skilled nursing residents and caregivers to access clincial information and entertainment from the same console.

Designed for both resident and clinician use, the terminal gives clinicians access healthcare information right at the bedside and provides wireless communication via the terminal's Bluetooth 4.0 connection, according to a corporate announcement

Residents can access the internet, watch videos or TV shows, connect to social networks, and hold video chats using the terminal's built-in webcam.

The latest models feature an 18.5-inch touch screen that is easier to clean, as well as a dual-core Intel processor and a 1366 x 768 (WXGA) LED display. Optional features include a barcode scanner, RFID reader and a remote controller with an emergency call button.
