3 LTC communities win Gold award for quality excellence

Congratulations to the three long-term/post-acute care communities selected as winners of the 2016 Gold Excellence in Quality Award from the American Health Care Association/National Center for Assisted Living (AHCA/NCAL):

The award is the association’s top accolade for leadership in quality care, customer satisfaction and strategic planning. Earning the gold award takes years of superior efforts and outcomes, since applicants for the gold level must have already achieved the silver and bronze levels. Since the program began in 1996, only 31 gold winners have been named.

Assessments are based on the Baldrige Criteria for Performance Excellence in Health Care, a performance excellence program from the National Institute of Standards and Technology and known for its rigorous quality improvement standards.

Winners will be honored at the AHCA/NCAL Annual Convention and Expo, Oct. 16-19 in Nashville, Tenn.
